RELX plc is a British multinational information and analytics company headquartered in London, England, providing scientific, technical and medical information and analytics, legal information and analytics, decision-making tools and event organisation across 40 countries. Formerly known as Reed Elsevier, it was formed in 1993 through the merger of Reed International, a British trade book and magazine publisher, with Elsevier, a Dutch scientific publisher, and it employed about 36,000 people in 2026. RELX trades on the London Stock Exchange, the Amsterdam Stock Exchange and the New York Stock Exchange, and is a constituent of the FTSE 100 Index, the AEX Index and the Euronext 100 Index.
