ProQuest

ProQuest is an American information-content and technology company based in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Eugene Power founded it in 1938 as University Microfilms, and in its early decades it produced microfilm products before moving into electronic publishing and growing by acquisition. Today it supplies libraries with applications and information services that give access to dissertations, theses, ebooks, newspapers, periodicals, historical collections, government archives, cultural archives and other aggregated databases, a body of content estimated at around 125 billion digital pages. Cambridge Information Group owned it before Clarivate bought it on 1 December 2021 for 5.3 billion dollars, a deal that Clarivate said would integrate ProQuest products with Web of Science.
