Nissan Group, formerly the Nissan zaibatsu, was a major Japanese business conglomerate founded in 1928 by Yoshisuke Aikawa and headquartered in Chiyoda, Tokyo, encompassing hundreds of member companies across fisheries, mining, automobiles, real estate and insurance. Disbanded after World War II, its constituent businesses were reorganized into successor companies including Nissan Motor, Hitachi, Eneos Holdings and Nissan Chemical Corporation.
