NedCar, later VDL Nedcar, is the car factory company at Born in the Netherlands that began as a DAF plant in 1967. Volvo took it over, and in 1991 the Dutch state, Volvo and Mitsubishi Motors formed a joint venture that became Netherlands Car B.V. in 1996. Mitsubishi owned all of it from 2001 and built the Carisma, Space Star, Colt and Outlander there until 2012, after which VDL ran it for BMW and Mini until it closed in 2024.
