MRS Logistica S.A., whose name stands for Malha Regional Sudeste, or Southeast Regional Network, is a Brazilian freight rail company headquartered in Rio de Janeiro, founded in August 1996 following the privatization of the state owned railway operator RFFSA. It holds the concession to operate 1,643 kilometers of the Southeastern Federal Railroad Network across Minas Gerais, Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo states, connecting the seaports of Rio de Janeiro, Itaguai and Santos within a region that accounts for 54 percent of Brazil's GDP.
