MPI Media Group is a privately held American entertainment company specializing in film production and home video distribution, founded in 1976 by brothers Malik and Waleed Ali and headquartered in Orland Park, Illinois. Originally established as Maljack Productions, Inc., the company moved into video distribution in 1983 and became a notable distributor of classic television programs and vintage content; it now operates as a producer, distributor and licensor of theatrical film and home entertainment through subsidiaries including MPI Pictures, MPI Home Video, Gorgon Video and the horror-focused Dark Sky Films, and owns the WPA Film Library, one of the industry's largest collections of music performances, newsreels, political coverage and pop culture footage, alongside the British Pathe Newsreel Archive.
