Metzler Bank

B. Metzler seel. Sohn and Co. AG, known as Metzler Bank, is a private bank in Frankfurt, Germany, tracing its origin to a trading company founded in 1674 by Benjamin Metzler, making it Germany's second-oldest bank and the world's fifth-oldest. It has been owned continuously and exclusively by the founding family since its 1674 foundation, and it focuses on capital market services for institutions and private clients through four main divisions, asset management, capital markets, corporate finance and private banking. As of 2022 the bank employed about 800 staff, held total assets of 8.3 billion euros and managed 69 billion euros in assets, with branches across Germany, the United States and Asia.
