Luscombe Aircraft was a United States aircraft manufacturer that operated from 1933 to 1950. It was founded by the aircraft designer Donald A. Luscombe, who is credited as the designer of the Luscombe 8 Silvaire, and the company is recorded here as the manufacturer of that light aeroplane. In the span of seventeen years it made light aircraft for the private flying market, and the record lets the atlas place the Silvaire with the firm that built it.
