Konrad Motorsport

Konrad Motorsport is an auto racing team that began in Austria and is now based in Germany. The Austrian racer Franz Konrad founded it in 1976, and it has mostly run Porsches, although it has also fielded Ferraris, Lamborghinis and Saleens over its history. It started in the Interserie championship and then moved to the World Sportscar Championship with Porsche 962s. In 1991 Franz Konrad designed his own Group C chassis with Lamborghini backing, the Konrad KM-011, which was not successful and was the only car the team ever built itself. From 1993 the team raced in smaller championships, winning the 24 Hours Nurburgring and the Mil Milhas Brasileiras, and it later ran Saleen S7-Rs, then returned to Porsche 911 GT3-RSRs in 2006.
