The Jewish Telegraphic Agency is an international news wire service founded February 6, 1917 by Jacob Landau in The Hague as the Jewish Correspondence Bureau, and headquartered in New York City since 1922. Covering Judaism and Jewish-related news for both Jewish and non-Jewish publications, it had more than 400 newspaper subscribers by 1925 and operates today as a not-for-profit governed by an independent board with correspondents in about 30 locations including Washington, Jerusalem and Moscow. Since a 2015 merger with MyJewishLearning it has operated as a subsidiary of 70 Faces Media, and it remains world Jewry's oldest and most widely read wire service.
