Innocenti was an Italian machinery works established by Ferdinando Innocenti in 1933 in Lambrate, a neighbourhood on the eastern outskirts of Milan. Over the years it produced Lambretta scooters as well as a range of automobiles, mainly of British Leyland origin. The brand was retired in 1996, six years after it was acquired by Fiat. It is the manufacturer behind the Lambretta scooter, the Italian rival to the Vespa, and it is recorded here as the maker of that two-wheeled vehicle.
