Honeywell International Inc. is an American conglomerate headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, formed by the 1999 merger of Honeywell Inc., a company tracing to a 1906 heating-control business, with AlliedSignal, itself the product of earlier chemical and aerospace mergers, with the combined company taking the Honeywell name. It operates across aerospace, building automation, industrial safety and performance materials, making products ranging from aircraft engines and avionics to thermostats and specialty chemicals.
