Honda Racing Corporation USA, known as Honda Performance Development or HPD until its renaming in 2023, is the American subsidiary of American Honda Motor Co. that acts as the technical operations center for Honda's motorsports programs in the United States. Established in 1993 and based in Santa Clarita, California, it designs and develops race engines and chassis for series such as the IndyCar Series, the American Le Mans Series, the European Le Mans Series, the FIA World Endurance Championship and the IMSA SportsCar Championship. It entered CART IndyCar racing as a works engine manufacturer in 1994, supplied the whole IndyCar field from 2006 to 2011, and built the Acura-branded 3.4 litre V8 that raced in Le Mans Prototypes from 2007, the first Honda racing engine built entirely outside Japan.
