The Richter Brewing Company was organized in 1901 as the second brewery in Escanaba, Michigan, built on Ludington Street with architects brought from Milwaukee. It brewed beer until Prohibition, then non-alcoholic drinks, resumed brewing afterward, and operated until its successor, the Delta Brewing Company, went bankrupt in 1940; the building was converted into loft apartments in 2008.
