Hanwha Ocean Company Limited, formerly known as Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering, is one of the big three shipbuilders of South Korea, alongside Hyundai and Samsung. It is the shipyard behind very large merchant vessels of the kind represented in this atlas by container ships such as MSC Oscar, which was built by its earlier Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering identity. The record gives the atlas a maker entity for ships built under the Daewoo name and under the Hanwha name alike.
