Hailo was a British taxi e-hailing company founded in London in 2011, building a mobile app that matched passengers with licensed taxi drivers using GPS. By December 2013 it operated in 16 cities, had enabled more than 3 million rides through over 30,000 registered drivers, and had raised about 125.1 million dollars from investors including Accel Partners, Union Square Ventures and Richard Branson. The German company myTaxi absorbed Hailo in late 2016, and myTaxi itself was rebranded Free Now in 2019.
