Goodyear Aerospace Corporation was the aerospace and defense subsidiary of the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company. It began as the Goodyear Zeppelin Corporation, a joint project with Luftschiffbau Zeppelin that led to rigid airships in the United States, was spun off as Goodyear Aircraft Company in 1939, and took the Goodyear Aerospace name in 1963. Its products included airships and blimps, aircraft such as the Goodyear F2G Corsair, synthetic aperture radar, aircraft canopies, bulletproof glass and the Goodyear Inflatoplane. The company was sold to Loral in 1987, and Lockheed Martin later bought the defense products.
