Garfield Schwartz and Co. Builders was a construction firm founded and led by Garfield Schwartz that became the largest construction firm in Minnesota in the first half of the twentieth century. It was especially active in Rochester, Minnesota, where it constructed every Mayo Clinic building from 1914 to 1948, including the Plummer Building, and it built more than five hundred buildings worth over thirty million dollars of total business across southeastern Minnesota, including most of the homes in Rochester's Pill Hill Residential Historic District.
