Film Roman, LLC was an American animation studio based in Burbank, California, and later in Woodland Hills, California. Veteran animator and director Phil Roman founded it on 26 October 1984. The company had several owners over its life, including Digital Production Services, IDT Entertainment, Starz and Waterman Entertainment. It was best known for providing the animation for the Garfield primetime specials based on Jim Davis's comic strip, and it also produced animated series including The Simpsons, The Critic, King of the Hill, Family Guy, Wow! Wow! Wubbzy!, The Goode Family and Dan Vs. The entry records a studio that moved through successive corporate owners while supplying animation to several long-running American television programs.
