easyJet

easyJet is a British low-cost airline headquartered near Luton Airport, founded in 1995 by the Cypriot-British entrepreneur Stelios Haji-Ioannou, who initially leased aircraft from his family's shipping-linked business interests before easyJet acquired its own fleet. Recognizable for its orange livery and branding shared with other "easy"-prefixed ventures founded by Haji-Ioannou, the airline grew into one of Europe's two largest budget carriers alongside Ryanair, operating an extensive short-haul network centered on Western European leisure and business routes from bases across the United Kingdom and continental Europe. easyJet is not a member of any of the three global alliances, competing instead directly on price and route density within Europe's short-haul market.
