Healey's firm, officially the Donald Healey Motor Company Limited, was a British maker of sports cars founded in 1945 by Donald Healey, a successful car designer and rally driver, and based at Warwick in England. It produced expensive, high performance cars with a tuned Riley twin cam four cylinder engine in a light steel box section chassis of its own design, among them the Elliott saloon and the Silverstone. In the early 1950s it joined Nash to supply the chassis and early bodies of the Nash Healey and to assemble the first cars.
