Devolver Digital is an American and British independent video game publisher founded in 2009 by Mike Wilson, Rick Stults, Harry Miller and Graeme Struthers, veterans of earlier PC game publishing ventures. It built its reputation publishing distinctive, often violent or stylistically unconventional independent games such as Hotline Miami, Broforce, My Friend Pedro and Cult of the Lamb, generally taking a hands-off approach to the developers it works with. The company is also known in the games industry for its satirical, self-mocking press conferences held around the annual E3 trade show, a marketing style that became as much a part of its public identity as its game catalog itself.
