Comcast Corporation is an American telecommunications and media conglomerate headquartered in Philadelphia, founded in 1963 by Ralph Roberts, Daniel Aaron and Julian Brodsky as a small cable television operator. It grew into the largest cable television and home internet provider in the United States through decades of acquisitions, and expanded into media and entertainment through its 2011 acquisition of a controlling stake in NBCUniversal, fully acquired by 2013, and its 2018 acquisition of the British broadcaster Sky.
