Clelands Shipbuilding Company was a leading British shipbuilding company based at Willington Quay in Wallsend, founded in the 1860s. It built passenger ships, cargo ships and naval vessels, and was known as a leading builder of coastal vessels. The company was acquired by Swan Hunter and Wigham Richardson in 1967 and nationalized into British Shipbuilders in 1977, before its yard closed in 1984.
