The Cigna Group is an American health insurance and health services company headquartered in Bloomfield, Connecticut, formed by the 1982 merger of Connecticut General Life Insurance Company and INA Corporation under the Cigna name, and renamed The Cigna Group in 2022 as it reorganized around its Cigna Healthcare insurance business and its Evernorth health-services business. It ranks among the largest health insurers in the United States.
