Charter Communications, Inc. is an American telecommunications company headquartered in Stamford, Connecticut, founded in 1993, which grew largely through acquisition of cable television systems across the United States. It provides cable television, internet and phone service under the Spectrum brand and, following its 2016 acquisition of Time Warner Cable and Bright House Networks, became one of the largest cable operators in the United States.
