Bugaboo International

Bugaboo International B.V. is a Dutch design company that makes parental products such as strollers for infants and toddlers. It was founded in 1996 by Max Barenbrug, who developed the concept as a graduation project at the Design Academy Eindhoven, together with Eduard Zanen; its first product, the Bugaboo Classic, launched in 1999. The Amsterdam headquartered company grew to more than 1,200 employees operating in around 50 countries, with an assembly facility in China, and gained wide public attention after its Bugaboo Frog stroller appeared on the television series Sex and the City in the early 2000s. Private equity firm Bain Capital acquired Bugaboo in February 2018.
