Blue Origin is a private American space technology company headquartered in Kent, Washington, founded in 2000 by Jeff Bezos. It operates the suborbital New Shepard rocket and the heavy-lift New Glenn rocket, and it builds rocket engines both for its own vehicles and for other launchers, including the engines used on United Launch Alliance's Vulcan Centaur; its first BE-4 engine was delivered to that company in January 2023. It is also developing the Blue Moon human lunar lander for NASA's Artemis program, the Blue Ring spacecraft platform, and the Orbital Reef space station in partnership with other organizations. New Shepard first flew with a crew in 2021.
