Bezeq The Israel Telecommunication Corp Ltd is Israel's largest telecommunications group, headquartered in the Tel Aviv area, formed in 1984 when the country's telephone network was separated from the Ministry of Communications and organized as a government-owned corporation. Bezeq was privatized in stages beginning in the 1990s and its controlling ownership has changed hands several times since among Israeli and international investor groups. The company operates Israel's dominant fixed-line network and broadband infrastructure and, through subsidiaries, provides mobile service (Pelephone), satellite and cable television (Yes) and internet services (Bezeq International), making it the most vertically integrated communications group in the Israeli market spanning landline, mobile, internet and pay-television offerings.
