Atlantic Entertainment Group, also known as Atlantic Releasing Corporation, was an independent American film production and distribution company founded by Tom Coleman and Michael Rosenblatt in 1974. Based in Santa Monica, California, it grew from releasing arthouse films into producing independent commercial hits such as Teen Wolf in 1985, and it launched the Clubhouse Pictures label for family entertainment the same year. The company ceased operations in 1989 when it merged with Island Pictures, whose library eventually passed to PolyGram Filmed Entertainment and then, after Seagram acquired PolyGram, to Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer in 1998.
