The Associated Negro Press was an American news service founded in Chicago in 1919 by Claude Albert Barnett to supply news, features and reviews relevant to Black Americans. At its height it served about 150 United States newspapers and 100 African newspapers in French and English through twice-weekly news packets, before closing in 1964.
