Arriva

Arriva is a multinational public transport company headquartered in Sunderland, England, operating bus and rail passenger services across numerous European countries. Built up through decades of acquisitions of local and regional transport operators, it grew into one of Europe's largest private-sector providers of passenger transport before German national railway operator Deutsche Bahn acquired the publicly listed company in 2010 for roughly 1.6 billion pounds. Arriva operates rail franchises, city and regional bus networks, and other transport services under its own brand and various local subsidiary names across the countries where it works.
