The Algemeen Nederlands Persbureau, or ANP, is the largest news agency in the Netherlands, founded on 11 December 1934 by an association of Dutch newspapers. It produces about 160,000 articles and 600,000 photographs a year through a staff of roughly 160 reporters, correspondents, editors and photographers, has passed through several ownership changes since converting from a publisher-owned foundation to a private company in 2000, and is now owned by entrepreneur Chris Oomen, who acquired it from Talpa Network in 2021, operating from The Hague with editorial offices in Amsterdam, Brussels and the Binnenhof.
