Alfanar Projects is a Saudi Arabian engineering, construction and technology firm forming one of the three main divisions of the privately held Alfanar Group, working across the energy, water and infrastructure sectors. Founded in 1976 by Abdulsalam Al Mutlaq as Alfanar Construction, focused originally on electrification and power infrastructure, it broadened into renewable energy, water systems and digital transformation, rebranded as Alfanar Projects in 2023, and now operates in Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Spain, India, the United Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates with about 28,000 employees, including installing five million smart meters for the Saudi Electricity Company between 2019 and 2021.
