AC Cars, originally incorporated as Auto Carriers Limited, is a British specialist automobile manufacturer and one of the oldest independent car makers founded in Britain. Founded in West Norwood, London, by the Weller brothers, it was renamed or liquidated many times through bad financial conditions before reaching its latest form. It is the maker of the AC Cobra, the car that Shelby American also built and sold. In 2022 the new corporate structure began production of new AC Cobra models, slightly modified to meet modern safety and technology requirements and obtain European road homologation.
