1091 Pictures was an American film production and distribution company based in New York City and Los Angeles, operating from 2015 to 2024. It began as the film and television division of The Orchard and became known for the Oscar nominated films Life, Animated and Cartel Land. Sony divested the company and its catalogue of more than 4,000 titles in 2019, after which it operated as 1091 Media before adopting the name 1091 Pictures in 2020. Its later parent, Chicken Soup for the Soul Entertainment, entered Chapter 7 liquidation in July 2024, ending the company's operations.
