Eric Ries, born September 22, 1978, is an American entrepreneur, blogger and author best known for his book The Lean Startup, which set out the lean startup methodology for building new companies and products through rapid experimentation and validated learning. He later wrote The Startup Way, applying similar principles to management inside established organizations, and he founded the Long Term Stock Exchange.
