Eliyahu Moshe Goldratt (1947-2011) was an Israeli business management thinker and the originator of the Theory of Constraints, a management approach centered on identifying and resolving the single limiting constraint in a system before moving on to the next one. He also developed related methods including the Thinking Processes, Drum-Buffer-Rope scheduling and Critical Chain Project Management, presenting many of his ideas through business novels as well as nonfiction works applying constraint theory to manufacturing and business operations.
