Clayton Magleby Christensen was an American academic and business consultant, born 6 April 1952 in Salt Lake City, Utah, and died 23 January 2020 in Boston, Massachusetts. He was the Kim B. Clark Professor of Business Administration at Harvard Business School and developed the theory of disruptive innovation, introduced in his 1997 book The Innovator's Dilemma, which The Economist called the most influential business idea of the early twenty first century and which led the publication to name him the most influential management thinker of his time.
