Bruce D. Henderson (30 April 1915 to 20 July 1992) was an American businessman and management consultant who founded the Boston Consulting Group in Massachusetts in 1963 and led it as president and chief executive until 1980, continuing as chairman until 1985. He grew BCG from a single person into a global firm of roughly 249 consultants across seven offices, and he is credited with pioneering strategy consulting as a distinct discipline and developing influential frameworks including the experience curve and the growth-share matrix, also known as the BCG matrix.
