Benjamin Graham

Benjamin Graham (9 May 1894 to 21 September 1976) was an English-American financial analyst, economist, accountant, investor and professor widely regarded as the father of value investing. He co-authored Security Analysis with David Dodd in 1934 and wrote The Intelligent Investor in 1949, two foundational texts that established value investing as a discipline based on distinguishing a stock's price from the underlying value of its business. Graham taught security analysis at Columbia Business School, where his students included Warren Buffett, and he developed what became known as the Benjamin Graham formula for valuing stocks.
