Rolex Submariner

The Rolex Submariner is a line of sports watches designed for diving and manufactured by Rolex, resistant to water and corrosion. The first Submariner was introduced to the public in 1954 at the Basel Watch Fair and was the first watch certified waterproof to 100 metres, though Blancpain's Fifty Fathoms watch, introduced in 1953, had already been certified to 94.5 metres. The Rolex Submariner is considered a classic among wristwatches and is part of Rolex's Professional line, and its popularity has produced many homage watches from established watchmakers as well as illegal counterfeits.
