Robert Rogers Blake (1918 to 2004) was an American management theoretician who did pioneer work in the field of organizational dynamics. Together with Jane S. Mouton, he developed the Managerial Grid Model in 1964, which attempts to conceptualize management in terms of relations and leadership style. Two reference works named in his article, the Capstone Encyclopedia of Business and The Ultimate Business Library, both treat Blake and Mouton together under the Managerial Grid, the model that made the pair known to managers and students of leadership styles.
