Eversource Energy is an American public utility holding company headquartered jointly in Hartford, Connecticut and Springfield, Massachusetts, formed as Northeast Utilities in 1966 and renamed Eversource in 2015 following its 2012 merger with NSTAR. It provides electric and natural gas service, and in parts of its territory water service, to millions of customers across Connecticut, Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
