Chubu Electric Power Co., Inc., abbreviated as Chuden, is a Japanese electric utility serving the middle Chubu region of the island of Honshu. The company ranks third among Japan's largest electric utilities by power generation capacity, electricity sold and annual revenue, and is counted among Nagoya's four influential companies alongside Meitetsu, Matsuzakaya and Toho Gas. Chubu Electric Power has also expanded into optical fiber telecommunications, forming the subsidiary Chubu Telecommunications in 2006.
