Vattenfall AB

Vattenfall AB is a Swedish state-owned multinational electric utility company headquartered in Solna, Sweden. It was founded in 1909 as Kungliga Vattenfallsstyrelsen, the Royal Waterfall Board, a Swedish state authority established to develop the country's hydroelectric power resources, and was later converted into a state-owned company. Vattenfall generates and distributes electricity and heat across Sweden and several other northern European countries, drawing on a generation mix that has historically included hydroelectric and nuclear power alongside a growing share of wind power.
