Novozymes A/S is a Danish biotechnology company headquartered in Bagsvaerd, near Copenhagen, spun off from the pharmaceutical company Novo Nordisk as an independent public company in 2000. Novozymes is the world's largest producer of industrial enzymes, which are used to improve the performance of laundry and dishwashing detergents, to convert plant material into biofuel, to process food and beverages, and to support various agricultural applications, making the company a significant supplier to consumer products and energy industries worldwide.
