Hindalco Industries Limited is an Indian aluminum and copper producer headquartered in Mumbai, founded in 1958 as part of the Aditya Birla Group. It is one of the largest aluminum producers in Asia, and its 2007 acquisition of the Canada-based aluminum rolling company Novelis made Hindalco one of the largest makers of rolled aluminum products in the world, supplying sheet and other aluminum products to the automotive, packaging and aerospace industries across a global manufacturing footprint that extends well beyond India.
