ASUSTeK Computer Inc.

ASUSTeK Computer Inc., commonly known as ASUS, is a Taiwanese multinational computer hardware and electronics company headquartered in Taipei. It was founded in 1989 by four engineers who had previously worked at the Taiwanese electronics company Acer, initially as a manufacturer of computer motherboards. ASUS grew into one of the world's largest makers of PC motherboards and expanded into laptops, desktop computers, smartphones, monitors and networking equipment, having also historically manufactured hardware on contract for other brands before building out its own consumer product lines.
