Motorola Mobility

Motorola Mobility is an American consumer electronics manufacturer of smartphones and wearable accessories, formed on January 4, 2011, when the original Motorola Inc. split into two companies. Google bought the company for 12.5 billion dollars in 2012 largely for its patent portfolio, then sold it to the Chinese company Lenovo in 2014 for 2.91 billion dollars, and it has been a wholly owned Lenovo subsidiary since. Based at the Merchandise Mart in Chicago, Illinois, the company makes Android smartphones including the Edge series, Razr foldables and Moto G series, with the Motorola Razr 60 Ultra as its 2025 flagship device.
